Sun. Disappear Steve is the absolute common denominator here…

Torche/Floor et al. 💖 Favorite track: Love Comes Crushing.

The Midnight Toker. What an album.
Torche' fans come and get it.
I know its an older release but I had to add it to my online digital collection. Ceiling to Floor this is stellar, I love that guitar sound along side those vocals, quite a combo. Favorite track: War Party.

Daniel Mayes At first I thought these guys sounded awfully like Torche (in a good way!) and then I found out that that is because Floor is the singer/guitarist's previous band. So, with that said, if you like Torche, you'll like Floor. If you like Floor, you'll like Torche. Good stuff! Favorite track: Find Away.
Tom Maene (POLDERRECORDS)

Tom Maene (POLDERRECORDS) Awesome band and album. It's on number one in my top 3 releasesof 2014. This album has been in my car's cd-player since i bought it three months ago and hasnt been replaced since... I just can't get enough of it. Favorite track: Sign of Aeth.

Zhakathoom I just love that crushing Snail-esque guitar sound. Furthermore Floor whips out doomy grooves delivered with clear and unpretentious vocals and easy accessible...I shudder to say it; and a bit "pop-ish" approach. Take for instance "Forever Still"; it's almost sports a "Weezer does doom" feel to it. :) I like it alot.
Although I fear to check out the lyrics to Rocinante in fear of it NOT being a song about the relationship between a man and his donkey. :D Favorite track: Rocinante.

SabbathJeff Somewhere in my top 25 essentials this year, this album sits. Steve, thank you man. Caught Torche opening for COC in NY and later headlining in PA over lo Pan. The gig with lo Pan was particularly ace. Philly? August or later? I'm there. I'd love to notch Floor off of my must see list. I've dug Torche since the S/T, 2005ish it came into my life. Floor, Torche? I am down.

This is how to make pop/rock.

Received. Spun. Loved.

about

Miami rock juggernaut FLOOR returns with 'Oblation', the follow-up to their ground-breaking, cult-classic, self-titled album. 'Oblation' delivers on the highest of expectations. From start to finish, the drop-tuned, down-tempo trio mine the power of the riff, their signature melodies, and patented "bomb-string" attack. Instant FLOOR classics like "War Party", "Sister Sophia", "Find Away" and the title track prove beyond doubt that FLOOR is their legacy writ large and that the band is as vital as ever.
